South Mountain as our 3rd Location

General Questions

  • A Legacy Partnership is a phrase people use when one organization (or leader) steps in to carry forward the mission, values, and impact of another organization — not to “take it over,” but to preserve and expand what already exists.

  • The partnership was completed in January 2026. South Mountain Christian Camp officially became part of the Crowders Camps family as of January 13, 2026. The Board of Directions of South Mountain Christian Camp voted unanimously.

  • They wanted to ensure that the vision of O.A. and Charlotte would carry on to generations in the future and trusted our current Founder as the legacy carrier. Learn more about Jay Oliver

  • As of right now, Crowders Camps has no intention of changing the name. The branding, imagery, colors may be updated, but we intend to keep the name the same as we move forward. We may decide in the future a change is needed, but that is not on the radar right now.

  • The entire 240-acre property will remain a Christian camp and retreat facility. We are committed to maintaining and enhancing the property to continue serving campers and guests for generations to come.

For Current Campers and Families

  • While we'll maintain the core Christian camping experience that South Mountain is known for, we may introduce some enhancements and additional programming options over time. We're excited to bring the best of both organizations together while preserving what makes each location special.

  • Pricing will remain similar and scholarships will also remain available due to generous givers of all of our camps. We still remain committed to making sure all campers, regardless of financial situation, have an opportunity to experience a life-changing time at camp. We encourage everyone who wishes to participate but cannot afford it to reach out online for the FISH scholarship. More information about the FISH scholarships will be released soon.
